Rodericks joins the Super Bash for Bridge2Aid!
Rodericks Dental has long supported Bridge2Aid and the amazing work that it does for vulnerable communities around the world. We participate through the Lloyds bank cardnet handsets, donating a small percentage of every patient transaction to the charity. Since 2016, we have donated more than £16,500 and we are keen to continue.
As another way of showing our support, we were delighted to sponsor the drinks reception at the Bridge2Aid Super Bash, held during the BDIA Showcase this year. The event welcomed individuals and teams from across the industry. It aimed to raise awareness and funds for its Clinical Officer training programmes in rural Tanzania, among other worthy projects.
To give Rodericks practice team members the opportunity to become involved and join us for an evening of fun obstacle courses and superhero fancy dress, we ran a prize draw. We received so many submissions and happily took along five individuals from different practices.
Jaymee Black, Senior Dental Nurse and Practice Manager at Oundle House Dental Practice, was one of the winners. She said:
“It was so nice to get the chance to enter. Being at the event provides a chance to meet other professionals from different areas. It’s also a great night out! I’m loving working for Rodericks. I really enjoy being able to visit different practices to see how other teams work, but it is always nice to come ‘home’ to my regular practice. We’re like our own little family!”
Throughout the evening, we enjoyed a buffet dinner and played games. The brave souls among us even had a go on the bucking bronco. We had a fantastic time raising donations while spending time with friends and colleagues.
Shaenna Loughnane, Chief Executive of bridge2Aid, commented:
“The Super Bash was a great way to celebrate 15 years of Bridge2Aid, and it was fantastic to see so many volunteers, supporters and friends getting into the Superhero spirit to celebrate with us. Rodericks Dental have been supporting us for a number of years, so sponsoring the drinks reception and bringing a team along to the event helped us to not only have fun, but raise some much-needed funds for our work as well.”
