Dear patients of Rodericks dental practices in England,
As you will have heard when the Prime Minister announced another national lockdown, dental services are essential medical services and as such you should still attend your dentist and hygienist appointments.
Since opening to see our patients once again in June 2020, we have ensured that safety is our prime concern. We wear full PPE for every procedure, follow stringent infection prevention and control procedures, have air purifiers for additional safety and ensure that we apply the latest Government guidelines to keep you safe.
Our excellent team are kept up to date by regular training and as a result we were able to see and treat many patients in 2020.
Of course, we are in a very different place now than we were in when the country first went into lockdown in March 2020 so now most Patients who have an appointment can still attend.
If you are worried or have any questions about your appointment you may wish to speak with one of our team prior to your appointment for further reassurance and this can be arranged.
As we are anticipating that the phone lines will be very busy over the coming few days, please could you email the practice unless your appointment is within the next 48 hours.
A reminder about your appointment
As before please ensure you attend the appointment only a few minutes ahead of your scheduled time, wearing a mask, with limited bags and additional clothing.
Our receptionists are wearing PPE at the desk and there is a designated line to stand behind when checking in or booking your next appointment.
We are also providing hand sanitiser for use as you walk into the practice.
Although we know it can be difficult, if possible, please attend alone if an adult, or with 1 parent/responsible adult if you are accompanying a child. We understand that this may be difficult as schools are closed at the moment but please do not delay having your dental appointment, we are happy to help you.
Please contact us if you have any questions. If you have an appointment, we will expect to see you as usual unless you are unable to attend for any reason and need to cancel and we thank you for your support at this time.
Our teams are doing an incredible job at supporting our patients so please help us to provide you with the care that you need.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
As well as staying at home and social distancing, we encourage you to remain active (at home), look after your general health, including your oral health and stay alert.
This is a great time to really focus on maintaining or improving your oral health care routine for yourself, and for the people you live with. Remind and encourage each other to make healthy diet choices, brush twice a day and use an interdental cleaning aid. Make your dentist proud!
We have provided you with some useful information that will help you to maintain your oral health with the correct brushing technique and other useful advice HERE and a guide on what you can do if you have a Dental Emergency.
Thank you from all of our team we look forward to welcoming you at the practice over the coming weeks and will communicate further information when there are any changes.
