Price List

The NHS price list has been simplified since April 2006.

Prices for treatments under the NHS will depend on which of 3 bands the items on your course of treatment fall under.

There are 3 Bands:

Band 1	Examination and maintenance	£17.00
Band 2	Simple treatment	£47.00
Band 3	Complex treatment	£204.00

Example 1

A patient requires an examination and x-ray. This patient’s course of treatment falls into Band 1 and they pay £17.00

Example 2

A patient requires an examination, an x-ray and a simple filling. This patient’s course of treatment falls into band 2 and they pay £47.00. If the patient required more than 1 filling on a course of treatment they would still only pay £47.00

Example 3

A patient requires an examination, an x-ray and a crown or denture. This patient’s course of treatment falls into Band 3 and they pay £204.00.

Patients are able to mix treatment options and have NHS and private work under the same course of treatment. Detailed estimates giving all the options available will always be given to the patient .

DHS Plan  -  The Dental House Service Plan

Whilst the we are fully committed to providing NHS Dental Services we from time to time will not be able to take on new NHS patients at the practice as we will have reached our capacity for the existing funding provided to us by the local Primary Care Trust

WE DO HOWEVER WISH TO OFFER YOU THE SAME SERVICE AT A SIMILAR COST.

This is why we have created the DHS plan, which provides you with similar pricing bands to the NHS.

There are three minor exceptions to the cover and these are listed below in our price comparison. This is a very similar service to the NHS and will allow you to access affordable, quality dental treatment. Please note that Root treatments will be deemed a band 3 item in DHS. Only two items in Band 2 and one item in Band 3 will be carried out under any course of treatment. Children up to the age of 18 who register as DHS patients will not pay for any band 1 item and will only pay for band 2 and band 3 treatments.
